Partnership Coordinator, School District of Philadelphia

Assists with the identification, screening and matching of school-based partnerships which provide services to school communities, in alignment with the priorities of Action Plan 2.0. The Partnership Coordinator will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of school-based programs managed by external partners including city, state and philanthropic funded programs. Serves as a central point of contact to both principals and providers and works to strengthen school level partnerships and solve common issues that arise when partnership programs operate in schools. Tracks activities and reporting partnerships developed across the entire District portfolio.

Essential Functions

  • Works as a key team member in the Office of Strategic Partnerships; participates in the design and implementation of all aspects of building out the functional responsibilities of the office.
  • Works on special projects related to the building of the Office of Strategic Partnerships.
  • Focuses on building and strengthening the network of partnerships with key funding agencies which support school-based activities (i.e. City of Philadelphia – DHS, Dept of Parks & Recreation, Libraries and other major funding sources).
  • Builds relationships with principals while working to educate school leaders about various afterschool policies, procedures, funding streams and best practices.
  • Builds relationships with providers and provider networks while working to educate them about various school policies, procedures, opportunities and best practices.
  • Responds to schools and providers to solve common school-level issues that arise.
  • Executes various memorandums of understanding (MOUs) between providers and schools governing afterschool programming.
  • Identifies and supports providers by setting up specific District led professional development opportunities for providers.
  • Maintains current lists of school-based afterschool programs, type of program, number served, funding source, etc.
  • Participates in collaborative cross-sector communities that advance the issue of partnership cross the City.
  • Develops monthly quantitative and qualitative reports documenting partnership activities across the network of schools and the central office.
