Hibbing Community College, a small college in rural, northern Minnesota is seeking another institution to partner in a curriculum-based alternative spring break experience for March of 2005.

The intended format for the experience includes an online/web-enhanced 3 credit Political Science course focused on civic engagement. Our vision is to have students from each institution simultaneously enrolled and interacting through coursework. The students will then serve together during the break.

The break site could be either locally for either institution or a site decided upon together. However, working with diverse populations is a main objective of this experience.

I realize this invitation lacks specifics and details. However, if your institution is interested in hosting a curriculum-based alternative spring break with a twist, please contact me for further information.
