Part-Time Program Coordinator
Responsibilities:
• Plan, coordinate, and evaluate programs for older adults
• Produce monthly program calendar and coordinate calendar mailings
• Community outreach on behalf of the Center
• Recruit and manage volunteer corps, including all program leaders and instructors, and coordinate an annual volunteer recognition event
• Serve as liaison for all county and state-sponsored wellness programs
• Plan and coordinate community outreach events
• Write weekly press releases and disseminate to local media
• Complete periodic program reports, for dissemination to the Board of Directors.
• Participate in Marketing Committee meetings.
• Solicit local businesses for program-related partnerships and sponsorships
• Identify and collaborate with non-profit community partners
Educational requirements:
Bachelors Degree; advanced education in a relevant field a plus. Course work and/or degree in Social Work a plus.
Professional experience requirements:
- 2 years or more of non-profit experience preferred
- Experience in coordinating programs and/or working with older adults a plus
Skills required:
- Effective interpersonal communication skills, and ability to connect well with clients
- Excellent writing skills
- Proven ability to multi-task
- Extremely well-organized
- Ability to be self-directed and focused
- Computer skills- proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Calendar
