Position Description
The individual will predominately coordinate the volunteer program and volunteer recruitment activities for Penn Hospice at Rittenhouse, and provide volunteer trainings for all volunteer staff. Flexible work schedule which may include some weekends. Will provide back fill support to Volunteer Manager, Individuals must have a vehicle – some travel will be involved. Recruits, orients, trains and coordinates volunteer services for Penn Rittenhouse Hospice. Manages the program consistent with regulatory and program policies and procedures while advancing the programs standards of practice.
Minimum Requirements
Experience: Management experience in the recruitment and retention of volunteers, demonstrated excellence in interpersonal and organizational skills. Proficient in understanding and utilization of technology. Previous hospice experience preferred.
Education and Certification: A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is required.
Skills and Abilities: Basic computer literacy, including word processing, data base management, spreadsheets, power point, outlook and other computer applications as needed. Organizational skills including the ability to maintain records and statistics. Superior oral, written and communication skills. An ability to work independently, be accountable, delegate authority and collaborate as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
