The Unemployment Information Center – Part Time Grant Writer
The Unemployment Information Center, a 35-year-old nonprofit that provides direct services to low-income and unemployed workers in the city of Philadelphia and advocates on issues facing the poor and unemployed, is seeking a part-time Grant Writer. The position is responsible for all aspects of grant identification, application submission and reporting.
Candidates should have three years experience developing non-profit funding proposals with demonstrated success of fundraising from foundations, corporations and government agencies. Excellent written communication skills and organizational skills are essential to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Candidates must also have a working knowledge of word processing, database and spreadsheet software. The part-time Grant Writer reports to the Director and is a salaried position based on 20 hours per week.
