Part-Time Development/Marketing Coordinator, Community Learning Center

Community Learning Center, an outcome-oriented nonprofit adult literacy organization that offers free adult basic education, GED, and English language instruction for vulnerable residents of Philadelphia, seeks a part-time development/marketing coordinator.
Primary Responsibilities
Grants
• Research grant opportunities
• Create and maintain a calendar of due dates for grant applications and reports
• Carefully draft and proofread grant applications and reports for review and approval by the executive director before submission
Fundraising
• Help create an annual fundraising plan
• Collect stories and create semiannual CLC newsletter
• Compose annual CLC appeal letter
• Communicate and meet with the board’s Fundraising Committee and help implement its ideas
• Help formulate fundraising strategy by running reports, researching, attending workshops/seminars, and organizing focus groups
• Help organize fundraising events
• Manage donor database on a regular basis
• Write and mail acknowledgment letters to donors
• Manage social media and CLC website
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in education, communications, marketing, or related field and a minimum of one year of experience in grant writing and social media.
