Join us in making change in Philadelphia!
EducationWorks is a nonprofit organization that enriches the lives of children, youth and families by providing educational programs and services in communities confronting high rates of poverty and other barriers to educational achievement. We provide safe, educationally rich environments for students, particularly during after school hours. We have several programs, each with its own focus. Members are assigned to a team in an urban school or region of the city to assist students outside of the classrooms, mentor students in life skills, operate after school programs and support high school students in college preparation among other services.
Join our dynamic AmeriCorps team NOW! We are currently accepting applications for service-minded, creative individuals with experience tutoring/teaching/leading and mentoring children and youth. Minimum high school graduate, GED or equivalent. Some college and experience in after school and service learning within an urban school K-12 setting strongly desired.
Currently accepting applications for part-time (Monday through Friday 2:30 pm-6:00 pm including some half days). AmeriCorps members to begin service on October 24, 2011. To find out more about this opportunity and to submit your application – apply online at http://www.EducationWorks.org (click JOIN AMERICORPS APPLY NOW). Only qualified applicants will be contacted. Thank You!
