After School Leader
Part-time
The Free Library of Philadelphia is seeking qualified applicants for After School Leader positions starting in September 2003. Applicants must have a minimum of a BA or BS degree or be in the fourth year of a degree program and/or currently a senior or a work study student.
QUALIFICATIONS
? Applicant does not work for the School District of Philadelphia but can be a School District of Philadelphia retiree
? Applicants must be able to work 4 afternoons a week between the hours of 3:00 PM ? 6:00 PM daily, Monday-Friday from September 2003 to June 2004 at a branch of the Free Library of Philadelphia.
? Applicants must be able to start work at 3:00 PM daily.
? Applicants must be able to work with and mentor children and teens in grades 1-12 as well as mentor and train teen workers.
? Applicants must possess technical knowledge and have an interest in working with various electronic technology resources. (Technology training will be provided.)
? Applicants must be able to provide daily homework assistance and weekly programs for children in technology multicultural enrichment activities/crafts.
STARTING SALARY
? $16.00 per hour; 12-14 hours per week.
