Park(ing) Day
Posted by on September 05, 2011
The number of parks throughout Philadelphia will increase dramatically on September 16, 2011 during Park(ing) Day where activists, artists, architects, and other citizens transform metered parking spaces into temporary public places. This annual event re-imagines the possibilities of 170 square feet of public space and raises awareness of the need for more pedestrian-friendly spaces in urban areas. Get a preview of the projects participating in Park(ing) Day Philadelphia this year on our blog!
Visit the “parks” throughout the day across Philadelphia and join us for the post Park(ing) Day party.
