Aspira offers new parent empowerment series
Aspira of Pennsylvania is offering a free 12-week series aimed at helping parents develop a positive, cooperative relationship with their child with a focus on solutions rather than blame, learn ways to talk with children so that real communication takes place, learn ways to encourage self-worth and confidence for both parent and child, look at everyday problems such as homework issues, meal and bedtime routines, arguments, and chores, and learn positive parenting methods.
The classes will be held at the Stetson Charter School Library, 3200 B Street in Philadelphia from 8:45 – 10:45 am beginning on March 1st, and continue every Tuesday until May 17th. Snakes, refreshments, incentives and raffles will be held, and tokens will be provided.
Classes will be held in both Spanish and English. To register, call 215-455-1300 .
