Workshop Description
This daylong symposium will offer participants a locally focused and nationally informed perspective on how to work with mothers, fathers and their children after violence has occurred in the family. This conference is designed to offer a theoretical framework and skills to help practitioners enhance families’ abilities to heal from and transform their violent histories into contexts where effective parenting can take place. Participants who attend this conference will hear from both national experts as well as local practitioners as they offer skills and information that practitioners can use in their professional settings including:
