Montco workshop series helps parent advocates
Parents Involved Network Montgomery County will present Parent Empowerment for Advocacy through Knowledge, an eight-week free educational workshop.
The program is for parents in Abington/Willow Grove area who want to learn how to become their child’s best advocate with the systems that serve children and adolescents in Montgomery County.
Participants will learn how to advocate effectively for services a variety of systems including behavioral health; special education; drug and alcohol; juvenile justice; developmental disabilities; and child welfare.
The series will be held Wednesday evenings from 6-8pm, February 4th through March 25th and stipends will be awarded for perfect attendance. It will take place at Calvary Presbyterian Church, 405 North Easton Road, Willow Grove. Pre-registration is required. Email Lisa Novick [email protected] or call her at 610-279-8511 ext. 113.
