Maternity Care Coalition (MCC), a dynamic $8M nonprofit, works to improve maternal and child health and well-being through the collaborative efforts of individuals, families, providers and communities.

The Parent Involvement Associate/Center-based Family Advocate (PIA) will provide general support and training to parents in the Early Head Start program. The PIA is also responsible for maintaining and supporting EHS male involvement initiatives. As the Parent Involvement Associate this person will assist enrolled families in their efforts to improve the condition and quality of life and access critical health and human services. The PIA will provide support and education for maintaining good health and promoting child development. Services extended to families may also include counseling, referrals, educational and recreational programming, crisis intervention and advocacy. The PIA coordinates and delivers services to center based families as well as to families transitioning into other programs and/or service delivery options. The PIA is expected to provide services to families of up to 16 children enrolled in EHS classroom programs.

We seek a motivated individual who is knowledgeable about community resources, and has strong written and verbal skills. Associates degree in human service or related field, or background in case management; a valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required. Self directed; good record keeping and organizational skills; ability/experience helping families set and achieve goals; ability to work well in groups.
