Panel on Nonprofit Sector
Posted by on April 29, 2005
Representatives from the Panel on Nonprofit Sector will be at La Salle University on May 6th at 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Hayman Hall to discuss information about the Interim Report in response to the Senate Finance Committee hearings.
The Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations, the Nonprofit Center at La Salle University, Delaware Valley Grantmakers and the United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania encourages you to attend this critical session. Jon Pratt, Panel member and Executive Director, Minnesota Council of Nonprofits will provide attendees with a background of the Panel and offer a chance for nonprofit staff, board members, and volunteers to directly provide feedback.
Some in Congress are talking about closing the budget deficit by limiting the deductibility of charitable contributions. The Senate Finance Committee is considering additional legislation that will result in costly administrative burdens on all nonprofits! You must attend… in order to voice your concern and let your position be known loud and clear.
This event is free of charge but does require you to register. Please register at http://www.nonprofitpanel.org/fieldmeetings/philadelphia
Be part of the process…take the lead on the future of the nonprofit sector!
