Philadelphia2050 Community Partner Application Open
Posted by Philadelphia City Planning Commission on May 20, 2025
The Philadelphia City Planning Commission is looking for neighborhood and community groups to help update Philadelphia’s Comprehensive Plan. Join us in planning for Philadelphia’s future by becoming a Community Partner. This Comprehensive Plan, Philadelphia2050: Planning Together, will influence the way the city looks, new housing opportunities, how public spaces and infrastructure are supported, and the big decisions Philadelphia will face over time.
Philadelphia2050 Community Partners will be paid for their work helping to lead community engagement for Phila2050. Groups can apply to receive funding to help residents share their stories, imagine the future of our city, and work with the Planning Commission to develop ideas on how to achieve their goals.
Community groups can apply for two partnership levels:
- 9-month partnership (August 2025-April 2026) – $15,000*
- 18-month partnership (August 2025-January 2027) – $30,000*
*Additional funding available for childcare and translation.
Community Partner Eligibility:
- Work within Philadelphia and with Philadelphia residents.
- Be able to complete these program activities throughout the established program period.
- Send two staff or community leaders to a six-week Citizens Planning Institute course.
- Be a 501(c)(3), an LLC, or have a 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor.
- Not be a political organization, a lobbying organization, or an individual.
Learn more and find the link to apply on the Philadelphia City Fund’s website.
This Community Partner opportunity is one of many ways the Planning Commission will work with community groups. Use this form to sign up for project updates and to recommend community groups or leaders who the Planning Commission should work with for this plan update.
