PA Statewide Civic Engagement Virtual Opportunity – Apr 24

Posted by Urban Rural Action on April 14, 2020

We are launching a statewide virtual opportunity for folks to connect over sharing their political ideas, thoughts, and needs through a consensus building model, to work towards a new kind of bi-partisan/non-partisan collective action. This initiative, “Uniting for Action: Pennsylvania”, in conjunction with the Free Library of Philadelphia and the PA Project for Civic Engagement, is a free program for PA residents 18+ from urban, suburban, and rural areas with wide-ranging views who want to strengthen our democracy across distance and difference in our state.

Though we’re hoping to connect with some people who do want to be involved long-term, this is also an open invitation for anyone who wants to join in on the first workshop as a one-time learning opportunity. We’ll be meeting once a month on Zoom beginning May 7 for structured discussion, small group brainstorming, and collaboration towards action, all with expert facilitators. Optional: We’ll also be meeting in person in Gettysburg in late July (pending Covid-19) and Philadelphia in Jan 2021.

All the program information and the registration form (Deadline is April 24) are available on our website: https://www.uraction.org/paregistration.html
