PA Labor Dept. offers employment grants
The PA Department of Labor’s Works for Me is seeking local programs, including transition programs, consumer groups, centers for independent living, community agencies, and organizations who serve individuals with disabilities, to actively promote employment for individuals with disabilities.
The purpose of the grant is to improve employment opportunities that lead to competitive jobs and economic security for individuals with disabilities.
Activities to achieve this objective may include, but are not limited to, career fairs, career or motivational speakers, career guidance seminars, job shadowing opportunities, field trips, breakfast meetings, luncheons, forums, roundtables, training, business organization presentations, mentoring events, business tours, workshops, webinars, and presentations.
