PA Black Conference On Higher Education

Mark your calendar now for the PA Black Conference On Higher Education, Inc.?s (PBCOHE) 34th Annual Conference. The conference will be held at the Renaissance Philadelphia Airport Hotel on February 25 ? 28, 2004. The conference theme is ?BUILDING LINKAGES FOR SUCCESS: ESTABLISHING THE PROACTIVE AGENDA?. The cost to attend the conference will be $250.00 for professionals and $110.00 for students. Overnight stay at the hotel is $85.00 per night. Hotel reservations can be made at (800) HOTELS-1 or (800) 468-3571. Information on making conference reservations will follow shortly.

There is also a ?Call for Presenters? in conjunction with the conference. Suggested workshop topics may be but are not restricted to:

  • Empowering Professionals and Students to Achieve Success;
  • Outreach/Recruitment Collaborative Efforts;
  • Effective Retention Models;
  • Community-Based and Corporate Linkages with Higher Education;
  • K-16 Education: Closing the Gap;
  • Affirmative Action After Michigan;
  • Standardized Testing and the African American Experience

    All presentations are limited to 75 minutes. (Workshops presenters are encouraged to guide the participants towards action-oriented outcomes as a result of their presentations.)
