Outreach Coordinators, US Social Forum
Posted by U.S. Social Forum on April 20, 2015
The Third US Social Forum (USSF) will be taking place in Philadelphia June 25th – 28th, 2015. The USSF has continued to be a catalyst for improving our communities, building coalitions, and facilitating much needed conversations to pursue social transformation. In the moments leading up to the USSF, we are looking to get a variety of people involved in the organizing process.
We are specifically looking for Outreach Coordinators to volunteer for the USSF during the months of April, May and June. This is a great opportunity to get experience in grassroots organizing and event planning.
Tasks may include:
-Making phone calls regarding registration, sponsorships, workshops, People’s Movement Assemblies, and donations
-Attending various organizational events in the city to network and pass out USSF flyers
-Connecting with various universities within Philadelphia to talk with students and faculty about the USSF
-Managing social media accounts (Facebook and Twitter)
-Responding to email inquiries about the USSF
-Developing press releases and media blurbs
You can sign up to be a volunteer here: http://vols.pt/r8Pifr
In addition to becoming a volunteer, we want to encourage you to register for the USSF as well as check out our various working groups for more ways to get involved.
For more information, email us at [email protected], call us at (215) 869-4753 or visit our website at http://ussfphilly.org
We look forward to working with you!
