Outreach and Partnerships Coordinator, How I Decide

The Outreach and Partnerships Coordinator will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to ensure that our curricula and tools are successfully adopted by our partner schools and youth service providers. This individual will be responsible for developing relationships with the educational community in Philadelphia and other nearby markets. In addition, you will be expected to coordinate outreach and help identify product development opportunities which would serve the needs of the students. The Outreach and Partnerships Coordinator will occasionally be expected to represent How I Decide by attending speaking engagements and conferences. This role reports to the Executive Director, can be either a full or part time position, and is based in our Bala Cynwyd, PA office. Travel along the Northeast corridor 25% of the time may be required, and a car and a valid driver’s license is required for local travel.
A successful candidate will have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years’ experience working in schools or in out-of-school time programs, with a strong preference for experience in Philadelphia. Strong verbal and communication skills, as well as the ability to maintain a presence in the educational landscape are expected. You will have a passion for youth education and exhibit a personal commitment to continuous learning in educational practice and the cognitive sciences. An ideal candidate will have experience working directly with principals, teachers and out-of-school time program providers. In addition, experience working in a content development or a program delivery organization is desirable. Familiarity with standard business desktop applications is expected, and marketing using social media experience is a plus.
