Out-of-School Time Resource Center listserv

Colleagues:

The Out-of-School Time Resource Center (OSTRC), at the University of Pennsylvania, is pleased to announce the development of an OSTRC Listserve. The purpose of the listserve will be to inform colleagues of new or revised OSTRC publications (such as its Area Training Calendar and Directory of Traveling Services), upcoming and ongoing opportunities (such as special teacher workshops and scholarship availabilities), research updates (regarding the impact of professional development on OST program quality), and similar announcements.

The mission of the OSTRC is to connect Philadelphia agencies to other organizations, resources, and information about the role of resources in program improvement. To avoid “reinventing the wheel,” the OSTRC listserve will make every effort NOT to duplicate services and resources offered by other listserves, publications, data bases, and similar directories of information.

Messages from the OSTRC Listserve will be distributed on a regular basis and no more frequently than once a week. The OSTRC staff is currently transferring names from electronic address books into the Listserve membership list. IF YOU WOULD PREFER NOT TO BE A MEMBER OF THE OSTRC LISTSERVE, please respond to this e-mail and indicate your preference. If you choose to participate in the OSTRC Listserve, you will be able to easily remove yourself from it at any time.

Thank you, as always, for supporting the OSTRC’s efforts to identify, provide access to, facilitate synergy between, and explore the benefits of OST resources. We look forward to the enhanced communication that our new listserve will offer to the stellar programs serving Philadelphia’s children and youth.
