Out of School Time Program Director, United Communities Southeast Philadelphia

United Communities Southeast Philadelphia, a nonprofit social service agency serving the southeast Philadelphia community, has an immediate opening for a qualified Program Director for their Out of School Time program. The Program Director will be responsible for complete oversight of the Southwark Elementary OST Afterschool Program and summer Freedom School camp.

General Administrative Duties:
-Provide oversight for staffing, operations and interview prospective program participants
-Work with the Director of Operations to advertise, promote and recruit program participants
-Monitor enrollment of children in the OST program
-Assist with the planning and coordination of parent orientations
-Ensure that program policies and procedures are communicated to parents and staff by the use of parent handbooks and policy manuals
-Assist with monitor the supervision of after school program staff
-Assist in the facilitation of monthly parent meetings for the OST program
-Monitor program budgets for OST
-Coordinate monthly in-service trainings along with other program directors as they relate to children and youth programs
-Assist in identifying age-appropriate materials and activities that will enhance the overall outcomes of the programs
-Maintain up-to-date personnel system for program staff, including timesheets and vacation/ sick/personal leave requests.

Qualifications:
-Bachelors Degree in Human Services field
-Minimum of five years experience working with at-risk youth ages 5-12 years old
-Experience in non-profit, human services setting including program implementation, program development and staff supervision
-Experience in grant writing
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Ability to multi-task
-Excellent documentation and follow-up skills
-Proficiency in MS applications (Word, Excel, Access, etc.)

This is a part-time position, 30 hours per week. Provides paid sick, vacation and holiday leave.
