OST Site Supervisor, Council of Spanish Speaking Organizations of Philadelphia, Inc.
OST (out-of-school time program) Site Supervisor oversees and facilitates an after school out-of-school time (OST) program for 39 students. This position supervises 2 group leaders who work directly with the youth in the after school program and ensures the implementation of the program plan. This position reports to the Director of Youth and Family Development Department. The role is to: (1) conduct group education as dictated by curriculum and program guidelines; (2) document all program activities as assigned; and (3) develop, supervise, and deliver the after school program.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- In collaboration with the site director and program manager, develop and implement after school program for 39 students;
- Supervise two part-time group leaders and volunteers and consultants as appropriate to ensure fidelity to the after school program plan;
- Facilitate after-school program activities as necessary in back up capacity, and for training and other priorities;
- Data enter and compile all data for program reporting in full compliance with agency and other confidentiality measures;
- Provide program oversight at least five days per week from 2:30PM – 6:30PM, and work other occasional evening and weekend events as needed;
- Attend relevant health fairs and community events to promote the program;
- Attend all required trainings and meetings;
- Participate in and be prepared for bi-weekly individual supervision and other staff meetings;
- Complete required hours for agency events (Hispanic Fiesta)
- During summer months plan & implement the summer youth program
- Uphold the professional standards of the program and organization;
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Health, Education or related field, with a minimum of two years relevant work experience.
2. Knowledge of adolescent health and general family health issues.
3. Strong public speaking and written communication skills.
4. Ability to engage, connect with and educate at-risk youth in Philadelphia.
5. Knowledge of adolescent health and related risky behaviors.
6. FBI, Pennsylvania Childline and Criminal Background Clearances.
7. Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
8. Computer and technological proficiency required.
Organizational Accountability & Relationships:
Reports directly to the Director, Youth and Family Development
