Opt-Out Option for High School Students
Posted by on September 15, 2008
Are you concerned that your teen-age son or daughter will be recruited by the military to go to Iraq or Afghanistan? Are you concerned that your teen-age son or daughter’s name, address and phone number will be given to military recruiters?
YOU HAVE A CHOICE.
You and your 11th or 12th grader can choose not to be contacted by recruiters by signing and returning the Student Exclusion Form to be sent home by your school in late September.
Watch for it, sign it, return it to your teenager’s school. If you do not receive it, call the school and request it. This is the one time this school year you will have the opportunity to prevent your teen-ager’s personal information from being released to military recruiters.
