Opera on the Mall: We Shall Not Be Moved
Posted by Philadelphia Association of Community Development Corporations on September 24, 2018
Join PACDC and friends at this year’s Opera on the Mall on Saturday, September 29th at 7pm. Each year, Opera Philadelphia hosts Opera on the Mall, a free opera screening attended by thousands of people in Philadelphia’s Independence National Historic Park. This year, Opera Philadelphia will present We Shall Not Be Moved.
We Shall Not Be Moved tells the story of five North Philadelphia teens on the run. Their confrontation with a local police officer rises from the enduring ashes of the Philadelphia Police Department’s 1985 bombing of the MOVE compound in West Philadelphia.
