When Boards Work Smarter, Organizations Work Better: A look at the latest in online offices for volunteer nonprofit boards
Presented by Thomas Rottler, Director of Technology Services, Verve Internet Solutions
All nonprofits do better when their boards work effectively. Extranets ? secure websites designed for online collaboration ? are transforming the way nonprofit boards work and communicate. This session presents the leading online tool for this type of transforming work, Verve BoardEffectTM.
Designed to store important documents of all types, extranets track activities and deadlines, archive all correspondence originating from the site, and include email, chat, and discussion capabilities to allow for communication between members. Extranets keep constituents up-to-date and well-informed, allowing for continued dialogue between board members while making use of the valuable time between official meetings.
In this session, we will see a demo of Verve BoardEffectTM and learn how several organizations are helping board members capitalize on their precious volunteer time. We will explore what works for them in terms of technology and tools, incentives for adoption, ongoing management, and metrics of success.
This workshop is designed for executive directors, board members, board liaisons, and all nonprofit professionals interested in board governance.
If you would like to attend this session, please RSVP by Friday, May 20 to Sabra Williams at [email protected].
