Online Event: Digital Mental Health Solutions: Promise, Risks, and Policy – Jul 21
Posted by Bipartisan Policy Center on July 15, 2025
Digital tools—such as digital therapeutics and AI chatbots—are reshaping how people manage their mental health. These innovations offer potential solutions to pressing challenges, including unmet behavioral health needs, workforce shortages, and rising costs. As use expands, federal policymakers are considering how to regulate and pay for these solutions. The Congressional Research Service recently called on Congress to consider guardrails for high-risk generative AI, citing mental health therapy as a use case, and CMS has begun reimbursing some digital mental health treatments.
Join the Bipartisan Policy Center and the Commonwealth Fund for a virtual event exploring how digital mental health tools are used today, their promise and risks, and the key questions shaping federal policy.
Date and Time: July 21, 2025, 12:30-1:30 PM
