Online 5 A Day cookbook
Posted by on February 10, 2006
Many of you are promoting the consumption of fruit and vegetables in your communities. To help you, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has put out a searchable database of recipes supporting the 5 A Day campaign. You can search recipes based upon fruit/vegetable, ingredient, course, type of cuisine, and special preparation requirements. Each recipe includes a complete nutrition analysis and meets the 5 A Day guidelines for low sodium (less than 480 mg) and low fat (less than 30%) per serving. In addition, each recipe contains at least one serving of fruit or vegetables.
