On Two Fronts: Screening and Arts Showcase
Posted by WHYY on October 5, 2015
WHYY and the arts non-profit Warrior Writers invite you to a reception and arts showcase reflecting on the contributions and sacrifices of veterans in recent wars.
Experience the visual art, poetry and spoken word performances of veterans living in the Philadelphia area. Preview the new PBS documentary On Two Fronts: Latinos & Vietnam, which encourages us to think critically about the ways Latino soldiers were drawn into the Vietnam War, and to appreciate the service of veterans who have more recently returned from wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Immediately following the screening, listen to and engage with a panel of local veterans, and learn about the experiences of women and minority soldiers at war.
Watch On Two Fronts on WHYY-TV on Tuesday, September 22, at 10:00 p.m.
Take time to remember the contributions of this group by viewing this map of meaningful war memorial sites in the Delaware Valley.
