VA releases new resources to help veterans with mental illness
New resources are available to help meet the mental health needs of aging veterans.
The Veterans Administration Community Provider Toolkit includes the Older Veteran Behavioral Health Resource Inventory, which offers an overview of resources for health and social service professionals working with older veterans. These resources are designed to be useful to professionals interested in enhancing their outreach and support for older veterans who have or are at risk for behavioral health conditions.
These resources were created as part of a partnership that includes the Veteran Benefits Administration, Administration for Community Living, Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Office of Minority Health, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, and National Council on Aging.
