Philadelphia Office of Sustainability Releases 2025 Climate Action Update

The Office of Sustainability has released the 2025 Climate Action Update to share City government’s key actions and progress toward:
- Reducing emissions.
- Improving quality of life for all residents.
- Adapting to a hotter, wetter future.
The report highlights major projects and initiatives from 2021 to 2025. It highlights citywide achievements in sustainability since 2021, including: the Streetlight Improvement Project, converting city lights to energy-efficient LEDs; the Adams Solar Project to increase renewable energy sources; and the Plastic Bag Ban.
