October edition of The Power of Partnerships: The Power of Bilingualism and Multilingualism
Posted by Literacy Partners on October 13, 2026
This October, we’re celebrating the power of bilingualism and multilingualism and recognizing the languages families bring into their homes as strengths in children’s learning, literacy, culture, and identity.
Inside this month’s issue, you’ll find:
- Blooming Partnerships: Our partnership with Congreso de Latinos Unidos’ Family Empowerment Center, where our Spanish Early Literacy workshop series is coming to life this October
- Opportunities to bring La Fuerza de Familias Latinas to your community, with new partnership opportunities available January–March 2027
- Ready-to-share outreach materials for Spanish-speaking families, including our October Family Engagement Workshop and Leyendo en Casa opportunities
- This month’s Spanish read-aloud, Sembrando Historias: Pura Belpré, celebrating bilingual storytelling and the power of carrying our languages, cultures, and stories across generations
