O, YES! (Our Youth Enlightened about Sexuality) (July 30th , 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.)
Sponsored by Eastern University’s Center for Urban Youth Development in partnership with SPYCC (the South Philadelphia Youth Coalition of Churches)
PURPOSE: To enlighten junior high and high school students from Philadelphia and vicinity on topics related to sexuality and sexual health.
DESCRIPTION: This conference/festival is for any youth in the community who want to go beyond the textbook stuff on sexual issues and address “the real deal” in schools, neighborhoods, homes and churches. Conference presenters will be off the hook! They will share knowledge based on their expertise & training, Christian worldview, and life experiences. Free, anonymous HIV testing will be available. Laugh, cry, learn, and be challenged!
WHO’S INVITED?: junior and senior high school students or those ages 12-18; youth workers and youth pastors.
LOCATION: Eastern University, 1300 Eagle Road, St. Davids, PA 19087 (40 minutes from Center City Philadelphia)
COST: $10 for youth; $15 for youth workers/adults (age 19+). Organizations with 15 attendees may send the 16th person for, FREE.
