Nutrition Educators: Transforming our Communities
Empowering You with the Tools to Create Healthy, Balanced Nutrition Education for your Clients
Sheraton Harrisburg Hershey Hotel, PA
May 2-3, 2016
PA NEN’s Mission
The Pennsylvania Nutrition Education Network facilitates communication among individuals and organizations engaged with improving nutrition in our communities. We work to ensure that effective and appropriate nutrition resources, primarily for low-income populations, are available across the state.
Why Attend?
Do your clients view information about food and physical activity with confusion? In the age of information, much of what people hear about nutrition and physical activity is often misleading or incorrect.
Join nutrition colleagues as they acquire new nutrition information designed to benefit clients by nourishing their minds to form healthy views on food, physical activity, obesity and diversity and encourage lifelong choices.
Conference Goals
- Inform and update participants about current nutrition issues regarding low income Pennsylvanians.
- Engage participants, so they learn about effective nutrition education strategies.
- Increase awareness of factors affecting food access, dietary intake, and nutritional status.
Who Should Attend?
Includes but is not limited to: Registered Dietitians, Nutrition Educators, Nutritionists, Dietitians, Health Professionals and Paraprofessionals, Anti-Hunger Advocates, School Food Service Directors, policy makers as well as those concerned with food access issues and the nutritional needs of the low income populations.
