WANTED: NUTRITION EDUCATOR
Penn State Cooperative Extension, Philadelphia County, is accepting applications for a part-time Nutrition Program Coordinator to provide management and leadership for paraprofessional advisors for the Pennsylvania Nutrition Links Program (PA-NEP and EFNEP). Train and administer the Nutrition Links Advisors in teaching healthful food selection, food preparation, shipping, storage, and food preservation to program-appropriate audiences. This is a thirty-hour per week position with the possibility of full-time status at a later date.
Minimum of BS in Foods and Nutrition or related Family and Consumer Science discipline, with supervisory experience. Registered Dietitian or Masters Degree with emphasis in nutrition, health and/or food safety will be considered. Experience with project management and training preferred. Demonstrate human relations and effective communications skills. Familiarity with different socio-economic audiences, and interest in working with people from diverse backgrounds, and a commitment to the principles of diversity.
