PHMC survey highlights hunger in region
In recognition of National Nutrition Month, the Community Health Database project of Public Health Management Corporation has issued a report that presents data on adult nutrition and access to fresh food from the 2010 Southeastern Pennsylvania Household Health Survey.
The data show that many adults in our region may not be getting the nutrition their bodies require. Survey results also show that in Philadelphia and the surrounding counties, some adults don’t have access to the fresh fruits and vegetables they need for a healthy diet.
