NPower PA Announces 3 New Positions

NPower PA is a new nonprofit organization based in Philadelphia whose mission is to help other nonprofits use technology to better serve our community. Our services enable nonprofits to plan for, implement and effectively employ technology tools to achieve their organizational goals. NPower PA is part of the NPower National Network.

Senior Consultant/Circuit Rider – fulltime employee NPower PA seeks a senior network consultant to work with our consulting team to help other nonprofits use technology to better serve our community. Must have a passion for nonprofits, excellent customer and project management skills, excellent written and verbal skills, and 3-5 years professional experience in the planning, designing, and implementation of technology solutions. Knowledge of Microsoft Operating systems including Windows 9x, NT, 2000 (server and professional), 2003 server and XP. Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Exchange 5.5/2000, and Terminal Services is a must. Configuration of routers, firewalls and VPNs in various settings (DSL, wireless, T1) is required. Web Developer/Consultant – subcontractor position NPower PA seeks a Web Developer/Consultant to work with our consulting team to help other nonprofits use technology to better serve our community. Must have a passion for nonprofits, excellent customer and project management skills, excellent written and verbal skills, and 3-5 years developing and implementing web solutions. HTML coding (Photoshop 6.0/7.0 or Fireworks preferred); site mapping; additional skills desired: DHTML, XHTML, VB scripting, Javascript, Flash. Compensation:
$45-60/hour depending on experience. Hours vary.
Database Developer/Consultant – subcontractor position NPower PA seeks a senior applications/database developer to work with our consulting team to help other nonprofits use technology to better serve our community. Must have a passion for nonprofits, excellent customer and project management skills, excellent written and verbal skills, and 3-5 years developing and implementing solutions with SQL-based RDBMs, 4+ years experience implementing custom MS Access database solutions with VBA, 1+ year experience developing solutions with VB.NET or C#, (technical skills used in a nonprofit setting a plus). Technical Bachelor’s degree preferred. Compensation: $45-60/hour depending on experience. Hours vary.
