NPO seeking small office

Posted by on April 2, 2004

Action Without Borders-Idealist.org is a nonprofit organization based in NYC that connects people, organizations, and resources to build a better world. We are perhaps best known by our website http://www.Idealist.org, which includes the most comprehensive global network for the nonprofit sector, with over 40,000 organizations from 160 countries.

We have had a small office in Philadelphia for the past 18 months, and we’re now looking to move into a larger space. All of our college and university programs – “Idealist On Campus” – will be housed here in Philadelphia. There will be 2-3 full time staff for the near future, but the office space should enable a number of student volunteers and interns to have work space.

The present office is in The Friends Center Building at 15th & Cherry, and it has been great to share space with other like-minded organizations. University City/West Philly would be an ideal location, given that the focus of our work is on college campuses. About $1000/month would be the max rent (with heat, A/C included), and we are hoping to find a space of about 700-1000 square feet at this price. Capacity for a wireless and/or high-speed Internet connection are also important. We are pretty flexible about our move-in date, but would hope to get settled into a new space well before the end of the summer.

We would be very open to sharing space with other organization(s) to cut costs. Please contact Dan Kessler ([email protected], 215-241-7257) if you have any interest/leads/ideas.
