Posted by North Philly Arts Teacher's Association on February 8, 2016
You are cordially invited to first meeting of the North Philly Arts Teacher’s Association, a new professional network of Art, Drama, Music, Creative Writing, Dance, and Technology teachers in North Philadelphia!
This is a brand new professional network whose mission is provide Arts-Specific professional development sessions as well as to foster the growth and retention of teachers by creating an interactive, collaborative space in which these often isolated teachers can share ideas, plan events, and problem solve together!
The first meeting of the NPATA will take place at the Free Public Library at 5501 North 5th Street (5th and Tabor) on Monday February 22nd from 5pm-6:30pm. Dinner will be provided!
The theme of the evening will be funding and fundraising. I will provide some resources for applying for micro-grants as well as for general fundraising, and will provide the space for people to draft a micro-grant proposal if they wish.
Any Arts teacher is invited so please share this e-mail with your colleagues in the area if you feel they would benefit from such a network.
RSVP by signing up on this google doc for dinner ordering purposes!
