Program Evaluation Workshop Series starts November 6!
Announcing the next workshop series of the
Nonprofit Management Training Program
A collaborative initiative of Temple University Harrisburg’s Nonprofit Evaluation, Services & Training Program (NEST) and the Temple University Center for Social Policy and Community Development (CSPCD)
Social work continuing education credits available!*
Funders, donors and the community are demanding that nonprofits back up their claims of success with hard data. But don’t worry — you don’t need to be a math whiz to to measure and share your program’s impact. The Nonprofit Management Training Program’s workshop series on program evaluation will help you understand various aspects of program evaluation, including how to connect evaluation to your program’s mission/vision, how to choose the best evaluation methods for your agency and how to use evaluation results to fuel program improvement.
The series will be facilitated by P.J. Lundgren, Christina Reardon and Amber Stephenson of Temple University Harrisburg’s Nonprofit Evaluation, Services & Training Program (NEST). The series is divided into the following three-hour workshops:

Temple University Harrisburg will host the series, which will be videoconferenced between Harrisburg and Philadelphia. The cost for each workshop is $40 per person, and the entire nine-hour series costs $100 per person. Special discounts apply for groups.

* This workshop series has been approved for nine continuing education credits (CEs) through co-sponsorship of Temple University Harrisburg, a Pennsylvania State Board of Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Professional Counselors pre-approved provider of continuing education. These credit hours satisfy requirements for LSW/LCSW/LMFT/LPC biennial license renewal. Generic continuing education units (CEUs) also are available for non-licensed professionals. The processing fee for CEs and CEUs is $15.
About the Trainers
P.J. Lundgren, MSW, is a research associate with Temple University Harrisburg NEST. She is responsible for managing data collection, analysis and dissemination for projects surrounding a variety of topics such as abstinence education, poverty, organizational capacity and problem gambling. She is skilled in research methods and has strong interest in mixed method quantitative and qualitative approaches.
Christina Reardon, MSW, LSW, is a research associate at Temple University Harrisburg NEST. She contributes to multiple evaluation projects and performs community outreach. She also has a journalism background and supports Temple University Harrisburg in qualitative research and preparing reports for public consumption. In addition, she has organized several training events, including a summit on problem gambling and a community conference on addictions.
Amber Stephenson, PhD, MPH, is NEST director/senior research associate at Temple University Harrisburg. Her primary areas of expertise include project management, program evaluation, research design, survey research methods and statistical analysis. Prior to joining NEST, she was an analyst for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for six years.
