Nonprofit Intergenerational Working Group forms
If you are:
* a young leader in the nonprofit sector who is ready to “step in” and “step up” to the challenges posed by our complex world
* an experienced leader available to mentor others to take on the mantle of leadership
* interested in working in and/or leading a healthy organization that actually values work/life balance
* a boomer, xer, or millennial who cares about continuing to grow and develop your leadership regardless of your formal role
* interested in winning a prize of free tuition to a class from The Nonprofit Center at La Salle University’s School of Business,
then…read the next few paragraphs about the Intergenerational Working Group and complete the survey that follows.
The Intergenerational Working Group is a diverse group of multi-generational leaders, staff, and consultants committed to transforming the thinking and practices in the nonprofit sector about leadership development within and across generations. The ultimate goal of these efforts is to deliver greater, more sustainable impact for our clients, communities, and the larger world.
One immediate goal of the IWG is to develop a user friendly, relevant virtual platform where people in the Greater Philadelphia region can learn about, access, and ultimately share and discuss resources related to intergenerational leadership. The site would include content designed to:
* ensure that young leaders have what they need to move into the next level of leadership
* outline descriptions of strategies that senior leaders might employ to mentor others
* provide information for boards about succession planning
* share great books, articles, websites, videos, programs, or other information related to multigenerational leadership development
To learn about the information that users would find most useful to access around this topic of leadership development across generations, IWG has published a survey that should take about 10 minutes to complete.
