Independent Sector Accepting Nominations for the Leadership IS Award
Deadline: March 2, 2007
The Leadership IS Award was established by Independent Sector (<a href="http://www.independentsector.org/">http://www.independentsector.org/</a>) to honor outstanding organizations for their leadership in investing in the people of the independent sector as they work to build community. The Leadership IS Award supports this important principle by acknowledging an organization that incorporates the development of future leaders in its policies and daily operations.
The award also provides an opportunity for Independent Sector to address directly the value and importance of investing in the people of the sector by celebrating an institution that embodies this principle in spirit and practice.
The award is presented at the Independent Sector Annual Conference and Meeting of Members.
Anyone may nominate an organization for the award. To be eligible, an organization must be a nonprofit but need not be an Independent Sector member.
Visit the Independent Sector Web site for complete program guidelines and nomination procedures.
