The Philadelphia Theatre Company and WOMENS WAY Present Nickel & Dimed Fundraiser
All it takes to make it in this country is a little hard work, right? How do you survive on $6 an hour? In 1998, best-selling author Barbara Ehrenreich set out to answer these questions, presenting herself as an unskilled homemaker needing to earn a living after a divorce. Working minimum wage jobs as a waitress, cleaning woman and discount store clerk, Ehrenreich wrote a riveting account of the flip side of American prosperity. This arresting, soul-searching and often hilarious adaptation is by Joan Holden of the Tony Award-winning San Francisco Mime Troupe.
WOMENS WAY and The Philadelphia Theatre Company invite you to attend Nickel and Dimed from Sunday, February 1 through Saturday, February 7, 2004, a week set aside to benefit WOMENS WAY. Ticket prices range from $35 to $45 per ticket depending upon the performance date and time. 20% of the proceeds from ticket sales will directly benefit WOMENS WAY. For more information on show dates and times, or to reserve tickets, please contact Elizabeth Strauss at [email protected] or by telephone at 215-985-3328, ext. 232. The final date for ticket purchases is Monday, January 26, 2004.
