Leeway Foundation Accepting Applications for New Window of Opportunity Grants Program

The Leeway Foundation is inviting applications for its new Window of Opportunity grant program, which is designed to provide financial assistance to previous Leeway grant and award recipients to help them take advantage of opportunities that can support their art for social change practice.

Deadlines for grants will be the fifteenth of every month, from February through July 2017, with awards to be announced within three to five weeks of each deadline. Grants of up to $1,500 will be awarded to support training, learning, and development opportunities involving workshops, conferences, and residencies; travel associated with opportunities to share and distribute one’s artwork and art practice (e.g., exhibitions, book tours, performances, panels, or screenings); rental of equipment, purchase of materials, or payment of services to complete an opportunity that has a plan for outreach or distribution; and/or costs associated with the documentation of an opportunity such as a performance, workshop, or installation

WOO grants do not support living expenses; the purchase, construction, or renovation of a property; medical, legal, or accounting fees; organizations, corporations, or fundraising activities; and/or opportunities already completed prior to the application deadline

To be eligible, applicants must be an individual artist who is a former Leeway Foundation grant recipient and a current resident of Bucks, Camden, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, or Philadelphia counties. Full-time students in an arts degree program are not eligible.

See the Leeway Foundation website for complete program guidelines and application instructions.

DEADLINE: JULY 15, 2017
