NYLC Joins More Than 30 Youth Advocacy Organizations to Promote Political Action By and For Youths
The National Youth Leadership Council has joined more than 30 of the country’s leading national advocacy organizations in launching an unprecedented partnership to raise awareness and generate support for child and youth policies through education and political activism.
The Youth Policy Action Center, launched today, is a web-based resource that helps youths and concerned adults be heard in the nation’s capital. The website helps thousands of youths and adults contact elected officials about important programs and initiatives – especially in the critical days before votes are cast on the floor of Congress.
The Center gives young people a platform on which to stand and be counted in national debates and dialogues. It gives national advocacy organizations a way to come together and act as one. And it gives all constituents political power often considered the exclusive providence of entrenched special interest lobbyists.
