New Website: Visual Thesaurus

I think this is a pretty cool website — especially for those of us who like to play with words:
http://www.visualthesaurus.com/
It has a free trial version by putting a word in the “Look it up” box (and then clicking “try” in the pop-up box). The trial runs out after a little while, but you can go back to the original site and start again. (Try entering a diversely defined word, like “right” for a very rich display. Then navigate around the resulting display, including the list of meanings on the right-hand side.)
[Ed note: this may be a great tool for literacy programs as a creative way to help engage students in the magic of words.]
