New Website: Philadelphia area Academic Enrichment Guide
Posted by on May 2, 2002
The Academic Enrichment Guide is now online!!
The first phase of the Academic Enrichment Guide is now complete! After two computer crashes and much typing we have launched the Enrichment Website.
Anyone with internet access now can go to the Academic Enrichment Guide on line!
Go to http://www.philaedfund.org/enrich/
to access a searchable and printable database of programs for Philadelphia middle and high school students (and some elementary too!) You can also access this by just going to the PEF website and clicking on the link “Academic Enrichment Guide”
A special thanks goes particularly to Chris Thomas for creating the web site Lynn Garret for all of her hard work helping me get the information to and from the organizations (lots of letters and still many phone calls!) and to Lai Har, Laurie, Matthew, and Janine for their review and feedback!
THIS IS NOT A SUMMER PROGRAM GUIDE!
Many have been referring to this as a guide to summer programs but it is not. And I know CAP staff have been getting calls from parents with summer requests. There are SOME summer programs listed but this is not a summer guide. I think that will be a great project for the future. (I’ll work on it) Part of Phase II, however, is to provide links to some of the
summer program web sites that I have found.
I will be continuing to add programs as they arrive ( the beauty of using the web). Once again if you know of programs that you would like to see on the site, please let me know. Enjoy!
