New Website: Need In Deed
Posted by on September 19, 2003
NEED IN DEED’s new web site: http://www.needindeed.org, features useful information for those interested in a service-learning framework that taps into student interest and passion. At the site you’ll find success stories about projects guided by Need in Deed staff, with links to community partners who helped make learning come to life. You’ll also find links to like-minded service-learning organizations, recommended reading, and PDF’s of reproducible worksheets, taken from Need in Deed’s teacher manual: My Voice — service-learning that starts with kids.
Need in Deed, founded in 1987, is a nonprofit service-learning organization that works with students, teachers and community partners to prepare youth for civic responsibility and service to others. Their goal is to enable young people to become agents for change — capable, contributing members of their community.
