Obama announces MentalHealth.Gov
President Obama hosted a National Conference on Mental Health at the White House in early June to launch a national conversation to increase understanding and awareness about mental health.
Among the new initiatives announced at the conference was the launch of MentalHealth.Gov by the US Department of Health and Human Services. The website is an online resource for people looking for information about mental health. Also, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration will release a Toolkit for Community Conversations About Mental Health to support communities interested in holding discussions about mental health.
