IATP’s Healthy Food Action Website and Advocacy Tool
A new resource from the Institute for Agriculture & Trade Policy, called Healthy Food Action, is a website and advocacy tool designed to help health professionals get more involved in improving the health of our food and farming systems. The website provides key information and a mechanism to initiate public action by professionals to ensure that food and farming policies are consistent with better health. Key issues include a healthy 2012 Farm Bill, banning arsenic from meat, combating child obesity through healthy food environments, hormone-free food systems, and curtailing unnecessary antibiotic use in animals.
